I think the genius of Jimmy Page that people are always missing is the idea of the anti-establishment ‘punk’ things that he was doing. Things like releasing records with no information and no writing on the cover. I mean, that’s pretty bold. Not releasing singles. Not doing interviews. All those things were pretty punk, man. A lot more punk than the Sex Pistols signing a contract in front of Buckingham Palace.
